I am Dr. Dyan Haspel-Johnson, Ph.D and I can help:

I have been in the field of mind body spirit medicine since 1992. My intention is to assist my clients in transforming obstacles into opportunities. I use an individualized approach to therapy, based on assessing and supporting each person’s value system and goals and I work with a broad range of issues. I specialize in hypnosis and am the President & VP of Programs for the Southern California Society for Clinical Hypnosis. I often teach patients self-hypnosis and make them personalized hypnosis recordings that they can listen to on their own. I particularly enjoy assisting clients in building coping skills and resources that empower them by utilizing multiple methods including talk therapy, hypnosis, mindfulness, dreamwork, cognitive behavioral approaches, etc. I have particular expertise in working with health related issues including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, sleep issues, and other medical problems. I also have a background in art so that my approach tends to be creative and tailored to each person. I find that I am able to help clients draw from their strengths so that they can reach their fullest potential and live the lives that they have always hoped possible. I work in private practice with therapy clients out of my Santa Monica office and also see patients one day per week in holistic medical practice in Pacific Palisades.
