I am Kim Hollister, M.A., LPC-S; Austin Couples Counseling and I can help:

I work with couples who are experiencing emotional distress due to communication problems, conflict, distancing and an overall feeling of disconnect with their partners. My strength as a relationship counselor lies in being able to move freely between  the male and female viewpoints to help people see the often missed global perspective of their relationships, which is essential to fostering healthy change and reestablished connection.

I also work with individuals struggling with feelings of stress, unease, anxiety or depression stemming from issues such as life transitions/change, divorce, grief and loss, issues unique to women and other problems that can impede one’s general sense of well-being and/or happiness.

My style is direct and collaborative, and not without a little humor. I strive to create a safe and open environment for people to freely talk about what they think and feel. My goal is to help people gain insight into their situation and feelings, empower them to take the steps leading to the attitude and behavioral changes they want to make, and support them during this process.
