I am Wendy S Kaiser, LCSW, BCD, NCPsyA and I can help:
It must be overwhelming to see all these names and pictures. How to choose? And decisions tend to be harder when you're not feeling at your best. My suggestion: see who you're drawn to, then have a consultation with two or three people. It's so important to find the right match. Most good therapy takes place in the connection between patient and therapist. You need to feel you can share who you really are with one of us. Therapy is about emotional honesty, with yourself and others. Easy to say, harder to do. But it's worth the work.
I'm experienced in all the areas I list, but most of my patients come in for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQ concerns, couple work, parenting issues, and other conflict areas. Often, issues overlap and conflicts tend to get clarified when we work in a psychodynamically oriented therapy, my specialty.
I truly enjoy getting to know each new person. Though we all have similarites, we're all quite individual -- my approach is to help each person in ways unique to their needs. I work with individuals and couples, age 13 to seniors. I listen well, but I'm also interactive.
