I am a Christian counselor who sees my role as a facilitator to help individuals learn how to be healthy and thrive during changing times. For those who request it, this Christian perspective with Biblical principals will be introduced into our time together. In a quiet, supportive environment, you will be able to stop and think. With sensible and sensitive feedback, you will begin to make concrete, healthy changes in your day-to-day life and your relationships.

Marriage and premarital counseling are fields of special interest. Christian marriage counseling generally involves three main areas: 1) Problems in general, such as difficulty communicating, a loss of closeness, etc. 2) personal problems that develop or occur within marriage and/or 3) loss of a sense of God’s principles for marriage. Getting involved in marital counseling can help refocus priorities, and help find solutions to problems which would otherwise go unresolved. Through counseling, you will find solutions to marital difficulties and as a result, begin to rebuild mutual trust between one another and meet one another’s deepest needs. Counseling can also help improve communication and equip you with conflict resolution skills--something that is very valuable in a marriage.

I help individuals, adolescents, and couples to get along better through effective communication and conflict resolution skills. I have Saturday morning as well as late afternoon appointments and also telephone counseling for those who are not able to get to my office.
